We would like to begin by thanking Charitable Deeds members for their time, talent, and money. We would also like to thank the churches, businesses, organizations, and the public for their donations sent to Charitable Deeds. - The next “All You Can Eat” spaghetti dinner will be held on SEPTEMBER 17, 2016 from 3:30 -7 p.m. at the Wolf’s Den. Anyone wishing to help, or bake a cake or two, can contact Bobbi. We are always looking for someone to help with cleanup. So if you are interested in helping with cleanup, you can just show up at 6 p.m. to help. Please don’t forget to mark your calendars for the 2016 spaghetti dinner year. They are as follows: September 17th, and November 12th. Our last spaghetti dinner which was held in July, raised $6,227.00. Thanks to all the members that helped make this such a great success
- Salvation Army still has funding available to help families in the Clarion Area. If you or anyone you know would need help from the Salvation Army please call Bobbi at 817-797-0286 ASAP.
- Charitable Deeds had a huge garage sale on July 7th, 8th, & 9th. Thanks to all the people who donated items to this garage sale. At this garage sale we raised $2,300.00. We will be having another garage sale in the future. We will let you all know in advance.
- The schedule for the 2016 food giveaway is as follows –August 25th, September 22nd, October 27th, November 8th, December 22nd, this food give – away is located at 260 High Point Rd, Knox, Pa 16232, at your appointed time given when calling in. This food give - away is sponsored by Charitable Deeds and 3 area churches. Guide lines for this event have now changed. To receive food you must preregister by calling 814-797-0286 on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd week of each month. This must be called in each month. Anyone needing food must preregister at the beginning of each month even if you are a member. The number you need to call is 814-797-0286. You must be a residence of Clarion County to be eligible for these services.
- We have lots of chairs available. There are 650 chairs that were donated by Chartwells. Also there are still some of the 2500 chairs left from the Clarion University. Also McDonalds has also donated a lot of chairs to Charitable Deeds. We also have around 100 desks left from Clarion University. We are still looking for wheel chairs, electric wheel chairs, electric scooters, and electric lift chairs. The demand for these items is growing and growing.
- Please go to the RRR Roadhouse in Clarion on Sunday, August 14, 2016. (15 percent of your bill will go to help Gary McCleary with his growing medical expenses due to cancer). Gary is one of our Charitable Deeds members. Please use one of the coupons enclosed and please pass out the others to someone else that would want to help.
