Hi everyone
First of all, we want to thank all you wonderful Charitable Deeds members, Churches, Businesses, Organizations, and the Public for the donations and the help you give to Charitable Deeds. Without this support, we would not be able to help as many people as we do. God bless you all!
If there is any of you members that have an electric lift chair, that you would like to donate to Charitable Deeds, please call John for pick up. We need 4 chairs, for the elderly and disabled. Also, if anyone has any dressers that they would like to donate, we also need them.
The next “All you can eat” spaghetti dinner will be held on November 14th from 3:30 -7 p.m. at the Wolf’s Den. Anyone wishing to help, or bake a cake or two, can contact Bobbi. We are always looking for someone to help with clean up. So if you are interested in helping with cleanup, you can just show up at 6 p.m. to help. Please don’t forget to mark your calendars for the 2016 spaghetti dinner year. They are as follows: January 16th, March 19th, May 21st, July 23rd, September17th, and November 12th.
We had a huge garage sale on October 29th, 30th and 31st. We will let you know in the next newsletter how we made out. Thanks to all of you that donated items to make the yard sale a success.
We will be ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, starting November 26 thru December 24th. Anyone wishing to ring the bell for 2 hours or more, please contact John @ 814-221-9966. Anyone wishing to donate to the Salvation Army, make your check out to Charitable Deeds and in the memo put Salvation Army, Or you can make your check out to Clarion County Salvation Army and send it to our address: 98 Hickory Nut Lane, Knox Pa 16232, and we will see that they receive it. By doing this, your donation will stay in Clarion County. The money Charitable Deeds raises by ringing the bell at the Clarion Mall for the Salvation Army, will be distribute by Charitable Deeds to help the poor and needy in Clarion County – in Salvation Army’s name.
Just keep bringing in your aluminum cans and the tabs. If you just have tabs we are excepting them also. Right now being that the price of aluminum is down, we are accumulating cans. We will sell them as soon as the price of aluminum goes up.
We started our 14th Winter Utility Campaign on October 1st. Being the winter weather is turning cold we have people in 3 counties – Clarion, Venango, and Forest, flocking in here to get help with their utilities. With the end of the year coming up and you would like to make a donation to a charity that gives back 100 percent back to the community, then consider Charitable Deeds.
The next food give – away will be Tuesday, November 10th. This food give – away is located at 260 High Point Rd, Knox Pa 16232 at 11 am at the Charitable Deeds building. This food give – away is sponsored by Charitable Deeds and 3 area churches. Also mark your calendars: Second Harvest will be Wednesday, December 2nd.
If any trust, foundation, or other charity that would like to send us a grant, we can distribute it in their name, and send back an application for each family that we helped. We would like to have banks, businesses, and factories help us with this Utility Campaign.
Don’t forget we have a raffle going on for $1000.00 cash. Anyone wishing to sell these tickets can contact John. This raffle ends November 30th.
Let’s just stop for now, and pray for those on our prayer chain. If you know of anyone that needs added or deleted please contact Bobbi @ 814-782-3733.
That’s all for now, Just remember you are still our favorite people
God Bless you all – Keep smiling,
John Kerle (814)-221-9966 & Bobbi Wolfgong (814)221-8987
