- We will be ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, starting November 26 thru December 24th. Anyone wishing to ring the bell for 2 hours or more, please contact John @ 814-221-9966. If there is any additional information about ringing the bell, we will make sure it is in next month’s newsletter. Anyone wishing to donate to the Salvation Army, make your check out to Charitable Deeds and in the memo put Salvation Army, Or you can make your check out to Clarion County Salvation Army and send it to our address: 98 Hickory Nut Lane, Knox Pa 16232, and we will see they receive it. By doing this, your donation will stay in Clarion County. The money Charitable Deeds raises by ringing the bell at the Clarion Mall for the Salvation Army, will be distribute by Charitable Deeds to help the poor and needy in Clarion County – in Salvation Army’s name.
- We are still accepting aluminum cans and tabs. They can be dropped off at 260 High Point Road, Knox Pa 16232. If there is anyone out there that knows where we can redeem the tabs for cash, please let us know.
- We have now started our 14th Annual Winter Utility Campaign. The information is here
- We are having a HUGE- HUGE garage sale on October 29th, 30th & 31st. On our last garage sale we made $4,013.00. Hoping to do as good this time. If you have anything you would to donate for this garage sale. You can drop it off at Charitable Deeds on Mondays and Tuesdays from 7:30 am – noon. If you have furniture or appliances, you can call John for pick up.
- The next “All you can eat” Spaghetti Dinner will be held on November 14th from 3:30 -7 p.m. at the Wolf’s Den. Anyone wishing to help, or bake a cake or two, can contact Bobbi. We are always looking for someone to help with clean up. So if you are interested in helping with cleanup, you can just show up at 6 p.m. to help. Please don’t forget to mark your calendars for the 2016 spaghetti dinner year. They are as follows: January 16th, March 19th, May 21st, July 23rd, September 17th, and November 12th.
- Don’t forget we have a raffle going on for $1000.00 cash. Anyone wishing to sell these tickets can contact John. This raffle ends November 30th.
- The next food give–away will be Thursday, October 22nd. This food give– way is located at 260 High Point Rd, Knox Pa 16232 at 11 am at the Charitable Deeds building. This food give–away is sponsored by Charitable Deeds and 3 area churches. Also mark you calendars: Second Harvest will be Tuesday, November 10th – same place same time. And in Wednesday, December 2nd.
