The year ahead is empty, help me fill it with good things. Each new day filled with Joy and Happiness it brings. Hi all!

Hi Everyone, Well here it is, already November. Where has the year gone? It seems each year goes by faster and faster. It’s that time of year again that families are needing their utilities turned on. Yes, we mean turned on. Some of these families go from early spring until late fall with their utilities turned off. Some of these families go as long as they can into the cold winter months trying not to run their utility bills up. We are getting hit extremely hard this year with people needing our help. We believe the Good Lord sends these people to us for help but without all of you we could not do it. Thanks to all of you that give so much to our community. There are so many individuals in our community that work so hard to make Charitable Deeds what it is. It truly does take an army. Thanks to all of you and God Bless. *The reason birds can fly and we can’t is simply because they have perfect faith. For to have faith is to have Wings
* In every season of life, whether we are celebrating or morning, wrestling or rejoicing, questioning or trusting, we can hold fast to hope. None of us knows what might happen even in the next minute. Yet still we go forward, because we trust. BECAUSE WE HAVE FAITH.

God Bless you all – Keep smiling, John Kerle (814)-221-9966 & Bobbi Wolfgong (814)221-8987 Hi Everyone,
In November 2002 John Kerle started an organization known today as Charitable Deeds and Services. With the help of the community and the Good Lord, Charitable Deeds and Services has grown into more than we could ever have dreamed. In 2017 John stepped down as President of the organization due to some health issues. In a meeting of volunteers, Bobbi Wolfgong was elected President and John Kerle Vice President. New bylaws were drawn up and approved at this same meeting. There are rumors currently going around which we have decided to address. In July, we made some changes to days and times that we helped people with their utilities. Before, we were only open on Mondays. Now we are open Mondays and Tuesdays 9am – 12pm for financial aid appointments. We are open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as our schedule permits for additional financial appointments. ALL volunteers were told if they wanted they could come in any days we were open. We were receiving too many phone calls from people needing our help due to shut offs. Most utility companies have not been giving 10-day and 3-day notice and lot of families were getting their utilities shut off before the Monday appointments came around so we decided to have two days of appointments for utilities, with John and Bobbi doing a few throughout the week if the utility was going to be shut off before Monday. By doing this we are preventing a lot of families from getting their utilities shut off. It has been insinuated that Charitable Deeds is no longer helping people in the community. That could not be further from the truth. Charitable Deeds has always and will always give to the poor and needy 100%. We help needy households with financial assistance up to $200 once per 12-month period. We have garage sales once a month with items that are donated directly for the garage sale or that come in as a donation. If there is anyone needing items in our garage sale but can’t afford it, they can fill out an application and we will give it to them at no charge. They fill out the application to verify their income and expenses and this goes toward their annual $200 assistance. All money raised at these garage sales is put into the Charitable Deeds checking account to help the poor and needy with their utilities, etc.. The money raised at the garage sales is needed to keep helping the number of families we see each month. There are no paid employees of Charitable Deeds therefore 100% of what is donated or raised goes back to help the less fortunate in the community. It has also been said Second Harvest food bank is no longer happening. This is not true. Charitable Deeds and three area churches sponsor the food bank each month and dates are as follows: September 27th, October 25th, November 13th and December 5th. Charitable Deeds from the beginning has put their faith in the hands of the Lord. That’s what we will continue to do. Anyone with any concerns can call John at 814-221-9966 or Bobbi at 814-797-0286. Instead of spreading rumors, please call and get it straight from the horse’s mouth. We believe the hearsay needed to be addressed and set straight. All volunteers are still welcome!! “God has brought you through before, and he will bring you through again. Make a decision, each day, to choose faith over fear.” The Lord will prevail. There has not been a newsletter the last few months because of some personal issues. Now that things have somewhat settled we can get back to monthly newsletters. Our apologies to any of you that have missed our newsletter.
Let’s just stop for now, and pray for those on our Prayer List. If you know of anyone that needs to be added or deleted, please contact Bobbi at 814-782-3733. God will give you strength when you think you can’t go on. He will give you joy when you should be discouraged. He can make a way when it looks impossible. Give your troubles to the Lord – He holds you in the palm of His hand. That’s all for now, just remember you are still our favorite people God Bless you all – Keep smiling John Kerle (814)-221-9966 & Bobbi Wolfgong (814)221-8987 Hi Everyone,
We are going to start this letter with a short story of an individual that lives in our community. About 2 weeks ago a bad wind storm hit parts of Clarion County. In this gentlemen’s front yard stood a giant pine tree that over looked the house. It stood about 30 plus feet from the house. The gentlemen heard a noise and said he thought it was just the wind. A little bit later a friend came to visit. To find that this large pine tree in the front yard had fallen as well as another alongside the garage. The large pine tree in the front of his house fell just missing his house and a spring house. The only damage done was a telephone line that was taken down by a branch. It was as if God or a guardian angel took their hands and laid that tree down, in just the right spot. We are grateful that no one was hurt or killed. The outcome could have been much different. Thank you God for watching over us in our time of need.
That’s all for now, just remember you are still our favorite people God Bless you all – Keep smiling John Kerle (814)-221-9966 & Bobbi Wolfgong (814)221-8987 “Instead of pointing out who works well or who doesn’t work well, instead of nit-picking about someone’s flaws, if we gather our hearts, work towards the same objective, and enthusiastically do God’s work, everything will be fulfilled quickly,” One will weave the canvas; another will fell a tree by the light of his ax. Yet another will forge nails, and there will be others who observe the stars to learn how to navigate. And yet all will be as one. Building a boat isn't about weaving canvas, forging nails, or reading the sky. It's about giving a shared taste for the sea, by the light of which you will see nothing contradictory but rather a community of love. Hi Everyone,
We saw some pictures from Washington D.C, the blossoms are out in full force. What a beautiful sight. It won’t be long before everything here springs to life. Can’t wait to see everything start to turn green and all the awesome blossoms come out. What an amazing part of the world we live in. Sometimes people get lost in the hustle and bustle of life. Just don’t forget to stop and smell the roses from time to time and thank God for all the great he has given us. “Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.” For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.

Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love* Hi Everyone, WOW, this winter sure has been a roller coaster ride. Hopefully we are going to be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel soon. “SPRING” is always the best time of year- when the white disappears, everything starts to green up, and all of a sudden we have all these blossoms filled with beautiful colors. We truly are blessed to live where we do and to be able to experience the 4 seasons of the year the Good Lord blessed us with. And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and year.

I can’t believe it, there are still phone calls coming in with people without fuel to heat their homes. It is so sad that people in this day and age have to go cold - choose between electric, gas, prescriptions or food. If you had to choose what would you go without? I know I thank God every day that I have not had to be in that position and pray that I never have to. I know so many people that are struggling. A lot of these people are hardworking people that are embarrassed to ask anyone for help. They say please don’t tell anyone we were here for help, that we are just going thru a rough patch and need a little help. I ensure them it will not leave my office and that to remember Charitable Deeds will be there to help them in the future if they need it. I am grateful to get the chance to meet some of these great people. I have a story - the other day of a single mother with 2 children that needed help with getting some heating fuel came in and was sitting in the waiting room with another woman waiting for help. To find out they had just gave their last $10.00 to the person waiting ahead of them to see me for help, to get a gallon of milk and a couple loaves of bread so they could feed their family. When she came into my office I asked her why she gave the lady before her the $10.00? Her answer to me was she had food for her family and gas in her vehicle and wanted to help this lady. It brought tears to my eyes knowing this lady could have used this $10.00 but instead gave it away. God please bless this lady and I hope things turn around for her. There are so many acts of kindness that no one ever sees. This really touched my heart. God bless all of you. We would like to thank all the wonderful Charitable Deeds members, churches, businesses, organizations, and the public for the donations and the help that you give to Charitable Deeds. “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who in heaven”.

“ Lord Jesus, Here I am. I trust in You You are my God. My life is in Your hands! You know my heart. You know my cares. You know my Worries. You know the things that make me afraid. Lord Jesus, With Your might hands, supply my needs. As you fed the thousands, healed the sick, calmed the storm, and raised the dead, so keep me, O Lord My God …… In the Palm of Your Hand!” Hi Everyone!
Where has the time gone? It seems like it was just the beginning of autumn- the holiday season is just around the corner. Believe it or not Christmas is just 62 days away. With the weather turning colder we are getting more and more phone calls asking for our help. It’s hard to believe that in this day and age people are still going without the basic necessities to survive. If it wasn’t for your donations, Charitable Deeds wouldn’t be able to help the less fortunate in our area. What an amazing community we live in. We would like to thank all the wonderful Charitable Deeds members, churches, businesses, organizations, and the public for the donations and the help that you give to Charitable Deeds. “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who in in heaven”
