Hi Everyone!
Where has the summer gone. It seems like time fly’s by so fast. Fall is at our back door already. Soon the leaves will be turning beautiful colors and falling. Snow on the ground and the holiday season will be here in a blink of an eye. We don’t want to have to think about having to pull out the shovels and snow blowers – that means snow and cold weather. We pray to the Good Lord that he gives us a wonderful, safe holiday-winter season. Only he knows what he has in store for all of us. When he needs us he will take us in the palm of his hand and show us the way.

We would like to start by thanking all the wonderful Charitable Deeds members, churches, businesses, organizations, and the public for the donations and the help that you give to Charitable Deeds. Without the help of all you people, Charitable Deeds would not be able to help as many people in the community that needs help. So on behalf of all the families we help each day “THANK YOU”

“God’s love” for the world is so wonderful. He makes our life magical, and so beautiful. Even in hard times, we can put our trust in him. He doesn’t take a salary from us at the end of the day, it is just his love for us that brightens up our way. There’s never a teardrop that God doesn’t see. He knows when a sparrow falls from a tree. There’s never a moment when God doesn’t care., Never a time when he won’t hear our prayer.

Hi everyone!
It’s the end of July already- where is the summer going? We hope everyone that wanted to get a garden in, got it in. Its been such a strange summer, especially trying to get a garden in. If anyone wants some good corn – go to Zacherls Farm Market up 66, it is very good, $5.00 a dozen and picked out of their field fresh daily.

Can’t believe Fall is right around the corner, September is going to be barking at our back door before we know it. Think about each and every day, how things go right and things go wrong. All you have to do is put your problems in the Lords hands. God can work miracles in so many ways. It’s amazing how everything works out. We might ask “why” sometimes, but only God knows the true plan he has for us.

January Update

Hi everyone!

What an amazing year 2016 has turned out to be. We are now in our 15th year, and in all those years, we have not turned one worthy person away that needed our help. We hope that God will continue to bless us in the New Year. This would not be possible without the Good Lord and you wonderful Charitable Deeds members, churches, businesses, organizations, and the public for the donations and the help that you give to Charitable Deeds.
In the month of December, we made an impact on 575 lives financially and 197 with household and furniture.

  • We still are in need of lift chairs for the elderly and disabled. Also, if anyone has any dressers that they would like to donate we still need them.  We are also looking for mattress and box springs that are clean and have no stains on them. If you would like to donate to Charitable Deeds, please call John for pick up.
  •  Our 2017 Golf Scramble will be held on June 17th. We are looking for volunteers to help us with this project. Anyone wishing to help can call Bobbi at 814-797-0286.
  •  We distributed Clarion County A.B.A.T.E Christmas presents to the poor and needy in Clarion County again this year. We want to also thank Clarion Hospital, the churches, and all the individual people that also donated to help put a smile on a child’s face. This is such a great thing A.B.A.T.E and all involved have done at Christmas time, when parents worry how to get that present under the tree. We know presents aren’t the meaning of Christmas, but try telling that to that child looking at you wondering why Santa did not come to them. We also want to thank the Clarion Mall for the use of one of their stores and their toy donations. Remember if you see the A.B.A.T.E   boxes setting around town, drop in a present. It sure does put a smile on the face of a child. We gave out a total of 936 presents before Christmas.
  • Now that the 2016 food giveaway is over, we will be returning to our regular schedule, the 4th Thursday of every month. The next food giveaway will be Thursday, January 26th. This food giveaway is located at 260 High Point Rd, Knox, Pa 16232 at the Charitable Deeds building. To receive this food, you must call in and preregister. You can call in the 1,2, or 3rd week of each month to this # 814-797-0286. If you are not registered, you cannot receive food.  This food giveaway is sponsored by Charitable Deeds and 3 area churches. Each month we supply up to 160 families with a shopping cart of food. The future dates are as follows Thurs, January 26th, Thurs, February 23rd, Thurs March 23rd, Thurs, April 27th, Thurs, May 25th, Thurs, June 22nd Thurs, July 27th, Thurs, August 24th, Thurs, September28th, Thurs, October 26th, Tues, November 14th and Tues December 5th.
  • REMINDER: Keep bringing in your aluminum cans and the tabs. If you just have tabs we are excepting them also. Right now being that the price of aluminum is down, we are accumulating cans. We will sell them as soon as the price of aluminum goes up. We are also still excepting any plastic lid- this helps a patient with treatments.
  • Well what a great, great year for ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. Charitable Deeds raised $15,840.00 to help needy families with their gas, electric, water, etc. Thank you to all the wonderful people that rang the bell at Wal-Mart (Clarion), Tom’s Riverside (Knox), and the Clarion Mall, and all the wonderful, wonderful people that dropped money in that red kettle. Charitable Deeds also helps distribute the money raised for Salvation Army in Clarion County.
  • We are also distributing Family Funds for Central Electric customers that have a shut-off notice, been a customer for at least 6 months, and are eligible for Li-Heap. We can get them up to $500.00 from family funds towards their bill. We have also started distributing funds for Dollar Energy in Clarion County. So if you know of anyone that needs our help, and they fall within the guide lines of these programs, we could possibly get them additional help.
  • The next “All You Can Eat” spaghetti dinner will be held on March 18th from 3:30 -7 p.m. at the Wolf’s Den. Anyone wishing to help, or bake a cake or two, can contact Bobbi. We are always looking for someone to help with clean up. So if you are interested in helping with cleanup, you can just show up at 6 p.m. to help. Please don’t forget to mark your calendars for the 2017 spaghetti dinner year. They are as follows:  March 18th, May 20st, July 8yh, September16th, and November 11th.
  • We are in the middle of our Winter Utility Campaign. Being the winter weather is turning cold we have people in 3 counties – Clarion, Venango, and Forest, plus surrounding area’s flocking in here to get help with their utilities. Please help to keep your neighbors warm this year. With the starting of a New Year if you would like to make a donation to a charity that gives back 100 percent to the community, then consider Charitable Deeds. If any trust, foundation, or other charity that would like to send us a grant, we can distribute it in their name, and send back an application for each family that we helped. We would like to have banks, businesses, and factories help us with this Utility Campaign.

Let’s just stop for now, and pray for those on our prayer chain. If you know of anyone that needs added or deleted, please contact Bobbi @ 814-782-3733.

That’s all for now, just remember you are still our favorite people

Hi Everyone!

Well it is now October, the weather is turning colder and the leaves are beginning to change. It is such a beautiful time of the year. We are so lucky in this area to have 4 seasons to watch. Soon there will be snow and even colder weather. We have been seeing a large influx on the amount of calls coming in for help. September Update

9/6/2016

Comments

Hi everyone!
Can’t believe that it is September already, where has the summer gone? Hard to believe that snow and cold weather is right around the corner. Just like the wild animals outside they are preparing their nests for winter. Even though it is still hot out and people are sitting at the pool and even have their air conditioners on, there are also people preparing their nest to get thru the long, cold winter months
.
Charitable Deeds & Services was started by John Kerle & Lisa Kerle November 6, 2002.  Since its creation, Charitable Deeds has helped so many people in so many different ways. Whether it be food, clothing, furniture, financial assistance, etc. Charitable Deeds has grown beyond our expectations. If it wasn’t for all you wonderful, gracious individuals that donate your time, talent and financial aid this would not be possible. Each and every one of you that are a part of Charitable Deeds and Services, whether you are in the front lines or behind the scenes.

I wish you could see the tears in the eyes and the gratitude that we see, especially when these families have nowhere else to go for help. Yes, there are individuals that get our help that someone thinks might not need it. No one knows what hardship someone else is going thru. We believe that if it wasn’t meant to be, God wouldn’t have sent them to us for help. There are guidelines that are set by our board on income guidelines that are followed. God sees and knows what you have done to help his people, and you will be rewarded one way or another. We miss the members that God has taken to be with him, but we also look forward to meeting new members that want to help do the Lord's work and help his people.

We would like to thank all the Charitable Deeds Members as well as the churches, businesses, organizations, and the public for their donations. Without your support Charitable Deeds would not be able to do what it does to help these needy families. THANK YOU, THANK YOU for all your support.

We are always looking for someone to help with cleanup. So if you are interested in helping with cleanup, you can just show up at 6 p.m. to help.
